breast pump to induce labor image

I researched it and talked it over with my OB doc..
but my research says to use a warm wash cloth on each breast while pumping on the other side,but do i have to use the warm wash cloth for it to work?
any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

warm cloths or a bf/husband with a warm mouth is what was recommended to my best friend to induce her. Never heard of pumping to do it but I'm sure that alone could work.

Best ways to self induce labor?

Basically looking for natural ways to self induce labor. If I can make myself go into labor without having the need to use pitocin, I would be more than happy. I have heard castor oil, sex, walking, even using the breast pump a little early (doesn't seem like a bad idea to me). We will not be doing this for another 2 weeks or so, just looking for some methods to use at that time.

Why are you anticipating the need to pitocin? Are you several weeks past your due date? Remember that those due dates are a guide only - not the word of god.
One of the best things you an do is ask you mother what she can tell you about her labor. Was she late or early when labor started Was her labor long and slow or short and stormy? Were the kids born just fine or was their any sort of problem? Did you mom have anything go wrong - anything at all - during or right after labor? These questions with honest answers can help you anticipate a little bit what to expect for yourself.
Don't be indulging in alot of home-made labor inducers since you could be making a terrible mistake. Women have been having babies for about 3 million years. Giving nature a little bit of trust is a good thing. There are signs labor is approaching. Read up on signs of labor here on the internet.
Anyway, pitocin is not the first thing the doctor will do if you are induced. He/she will break your "bag of waters" first. Most of the time that will stimulate labor in a few hours if you are ready to go.
