What would you pay a teen to go on vacation with you?

I am thinking about taking a teenager on our vacation with us. I basically want her there for when the baby naps, so she can go back to the house and stay with her, and also to watch both kids for an occasional dinner out. I have no idea what to pay for this. We will obviously be taking care of room/board/food etc. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
PS kids are 9 months and 3 years old.

I propose that instead of taking a teenager with you that you stay someplace that offers some kind of baby watching services. There are lots of resorts out there that will do it.

Previously excited older sibling seems unhappy after birth?

Our 7 year old daughter begged us for a baby sibling. She spent months reading about baby care, even before I got pregnant. When I got pregnant, she was ecstatic! Now her baby brother has finally arrived, and she seems so sad...
She has helped feed him and burp him, and she seems to like him and being with him, but both me and my husband think she seems depressed and uncommunicative. Tonight, I wanted to talk with her and she asked me to leave her room. Anyone have any idea what could be the problem? I am very upset to see her so down.

kids don't realize that a new baby means alot less time for them. All they see is the cute clothes and the giggiling babies on TV. Reality is its hard work for mom and dad, and not much fun for the first 6 months or so. When the baby gets more personality she may be more excited. Make some special time for just the two of you, she may just need to be reminded that she is as important as a naw baby.
