Answer
- Chobits
Both are very cute and have some fantastic moments. Chobits has very humane androids and Fruits Basket has a cursed family line

- Azumanga Daioh
are sweet and cute series, even though their atmosphere and plot do differ quite much. (As Azumanda Daioh doesn't even have a plot, really.) Still, they both are the kind of soft anime that leave you feeling good and warm afterwards.

-Full Moon wo Sagashite
it has the same sort of jokes and it's also very sad in some parts.

- Ai Yori Aoshi
are centered around family relationships. The relationships drive the story, but not from the forefront. Look for the drama as a major factor behind all of the laugh

- Air
Both series share a certain lightheartedness which changes into something more sad and depressing later on. You can as wlel see the magic theme back in both of them

- Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge
is filled with developed characters that are incredibly likeable, so is Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. The story is funny yet touching at the same time, and it makes you feel for the heroine as much as it makes you feel for Tohru in Fruits Basket.

- Clannad (didn't really like it)
both deal with similar themes and they compliment each other nicely. Either involve harem or reverse harems. Both involve a central character (Tohru from fruits basket and Okazaki from Clannad) who grows from there experience with others as well as helping others grow. Both series have excellent character development and a wonderful dramatic comedy with a little bit of romance sprinkled in.

- Pretear
Both are harem based with one girl and several guys. Also, the main characters both are very lifelike and open to the male counterparts, so consider either series if you like optimistic, energetic shoujos

- I My Me! Strawberry Eggs
If you enjoy high school drama with a twist then these shows are for you. Both of them have very emotionally driven plots, all kinds of zany characters, and something a little more... odd.

- Gravitation
Though completely different in plot, both share an endearing quality coupled with occasional romance (more so in Gravitation's case) and chibified humor

- Ah! My Goddess
show us that happiness is in the experiences you have together, not the goals at the end of the story. On the surface they seem like completely opposite series in every way, but under the superficial details the stories share common points

- Kare Kano
The character in both series go through a fairly similar phase emotionally. They are trying to come to grips with themselves for themselves and their loved ones or at least the people they admire

- Aishiteruze Baby
are kinda similar in the way that Yuzuyu and Tohru share similar personalities. While Kippei takes care of Yuzuyu, in Fruits Basket Kyo is always there protecting the innocent Tohru. Moreover, both series have a sweet atmosphere.

- School Rumble
Fruits Basket and School Rumble approach humour in the same style. There's a variety of characters and they all have bounds of energy. Both series have romance, but execute it differently.
